Once you have your design cut out of the timber you need to put a rubber rim around your timber. Ask your local tyre dealer for an old car or truck tube. cut the tube so you can fold it over and fasten it to the timber so you have approx 75mm hang down from your base(timber), you need to allow for the fan blade under the base. If you have thick edge use screws with washers on to fasten the rubber onto the base. if it is really neat there should be no air holes, if there is fill with silicone. Is this to carry anyone? You may not need the fan at all. Is it a requirement of the project? Is your blower a petrol driven one? If its petrol it will work well. the blower motor needs to be mounted on the top of your board and bolted in securely. It will need to be well balanced so try to figure out where everything is to be placed on your board. If the blower is electric then you need to find a power source same with the fan but it can be done. Let me know exacltly what you need and i may be able to give you some more info.
