• In the Napster program click File
• Go to Preferences
• Click the Proxy Tab
• Proxy Type should be selected as Socks 5 Proxy
• Proxy Server Address should be the IP Address of the pppshar computer
• The Proxy Server Port should be 1080

Remember if you want to use SOCKS you have to "Enable DNS" in the TCP/IP network properties in the client machine and make changes in the DNS (PPPsharPro-->DNS) file of PPPshar. Click here for more info

For older versions of Napster

• Next Option - In the File Transfer field choose Download files through proxy
• Click ok. Napster will then try to connect - you will be prompted for a new user account or existing user account.
• Next option - File Server Settings. In the Server Settings area select "I am behind a firewall or I configured my firewall – use TCP port 6699"
